Ferenc Donderer (b. 1960, Cologne, Germany) is a visual artist with over 40 years of practice in painting and street photography. Since 2016 he has been based in The Gambia, where his atelier and workshops are located in Sanyang. His work has been exhibited internationally in Cologne, Berlin, Antwerp, Salvador de Bahia, and New York.

A passionate collector of international and Gambian/African art, Ferenc actively supports local artists and has organized numerous exhibitions over the past decade. His artistic vision has been shaped by influences such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Mark Rothko, Howard Hodgkin, Julian Schnabel, Gerhard Richter, Franz Kline, Tracey Emin, Julian Opie, Pat Steir, Rose Wylie, and Robert Motherwell, as well as the traditions of Outsider Art (Art Brut).

His works are included in the collection of the Rheinische Landesmuseum in Cologne, Germany.

Ferenc is a member of the National Centre for Arts and Culture (NCAC). In December 2024, he founded the ART27 – Visual Arts Promotion, establishing an atelier and workshop space in Sanyang dedicated to empowering Gambian artists and fostering cultural exchange.
